Chymotrypsin is a powerful enzyme that selectively breaks down peptide bonds involving L-isomers of tyrosine, phenylalanine, and tryptophan. With 241 amino acid residues, chymotrypsin is a protein composed of three peptide chains: an A chain (13 residues), a B chain (131 residues), and a C chain (97 residues).
