Metal Adapter for 6 x 15 mL tube on FastPrep-24

This is the strongest FastPrep-24™ adapter, intended for the most difficult and long-lasting lysis applications. Due to its metal construction, it can be continuously run on a FastPrep® indefinitely without the possibility of de-polymerization. This all-metal adapter can resist high temperatures up to 450°C and can be sterilized by pyrolysis. The major use of this adapter is for lysing highly contagious samples and samples suspected of harboring prions. Due to its ability for high-temperature sterilization, this is the safest solution for CNS tissue lysis and other applications where prions or other disease-causing agents may be present. In combination with our wide range of disposable 15 mL Lysing Matrix tubes, it ensures thorough homogenization of any of your sample types in seconds. To secure this tube holder adapter on FastPrep-24™, it is recommended to use Ratchet Nut (Blue Clickmaster) (116004525) - sold separately.

Application Notes

Metal Adapter for 6 x 15 mL tube on FastPrep-24™ is ideally suited for DNA and RNA isolation, enzyme isolation and protein production, natural products isolation, food preparation for quality analysis, biopharma manufacturing, and forensic applications. Furthermore, frozen specimens stored at either -20°C or -80°C within Lysing Matrix tubes can be loaded directly into the adapter, facilitating prompt processing with minimal manual intervention. This procedure helps prevent the degradation of cellular components by endogenous enzymes.
