MP Magnetic Rack 96 is a novel tool designed for fast and easy manual extraction of nucleic acids from standard 96-well plates using a magnetic bead extraction method. It is commonly used in combination with MagBeads FastDNA and FastRNA kits from MP Biomedicals.
The magnetic stand contains a total of 117 strong pin magnets for fast and efficient magnetic bead separation from solutions when using 96-deep well plates with either U- or V-bottom wells. The magnetic force generated by the stand pulls magnetic beads from the solution in just a few minutes, thus decreasing the chance of sample loss.
Cleaning
The MP Magnetic Rack 96 can be cleaned with one of the following solutions:
- 70% (v/v) isopropyl alcohol
- 1% (v/v) sodium hypochlorite solution (bleach)
- 0.1 N HCl solution
