SALIVA TEST

URINE TEST

DRUG TESTS READER

MP Biomedicals SALIVA or URINE panel test are immunoassays based on the principle of competitive binding. Drugs that may be present in the oral fluid or urine specimen compete against their respective drug conjugate for binding sites on their specific antibody.

A drug, if present in the oral fluid or urine specimen below its cut-off concentration, will not saturate the binding sites of its specific antibody. The antibody will then react with the drug-protein conjugate and a visible colored line will show up in the test line region of the specific drug strip.

The presence of the drug above the cut-off concentration in the oral fluid or urine specimen will saturate all the binding sites of the antibody. Therefore, the colored line will not form in the test line region.

The Portable Drug Tests Reader offers you a process to scan and digitize drug test results from saliva and urine samples in less than 5 seconds.

How It Works?

Fresh urine does not require any special handling or pretreatment. The specimen should be collected in a clean, dry, plastic, or glass container. If the assay is not performed immediately, the urine specimen may be refrigerated at 2-8 °C or frozen for up to 7 days.

A control line is present in the test window to work as procedural control. This colored band should always appear on the control line zone indicating that the test is performed appropriately.
