The SafTest™ Total Glycerin Test Kit uses separate procedures to determine total and bound glycerin in biodiesel samples. The resulting measurements are used to calculate free glycerin by subtracting bound glycerin from total glycerin.
The assay uses a calibrated workflow with five calibrators and a control. Samples are prepared according to the appropriate total- or bound-glycerin procedure and analyzed using the SafTest™ system. When dilution is required, the user adjusts the analyzer result to account for the sample dilution factor.
Calibrated Dispensing
For calibrated reagent dispensing, use the SafTest™ Total Glycerin Dispenser Set designed for this assay.
