Free fatty acids are an indicator of hydrolytic degradation, making their measurement useful for monitoring changes in fat-containing samples. The SafTest™ Free Fatty Acid Test Kit quantitatively measures free fatty acid content and reports results as percent oleic acid equivalent.
The assay uses a calibrated workflow with five calibrators and a control. Prepared samples are analyzed using the SafTest system, with dilution applied as needed based on the sample and testing workflow.
