Myco-Sniff-Rapid™ Mycoplasma Luciferase Detection Kit는 세포배양에서 마이코플라즈마 오염 여부를 빠르고 (20분), 간단하게 확인할 수 있는 민감도가 높은 검출 방법입니다.

이 제품은 세포배양에서 흔히 오염되는 마이코플라즈마 종을 포함한 대부분의 마이코플라즈마 종이 가지고 있는 대사와 관련된 효소의 활성을 이용하여 마이코플라즈마를 검출하게 됩니다. 이 효소는 진핵세포에는 존재하지 않기 때문에 이 실험방법은 마이코플라즈마만 선택적으로 검출이 가능합니다. 세포 배양내 마이코플라즈마가 존재하는 경우, 이 효소는 substrate와 반응하여, ADP를 ATP로의 전환을 촉매하게 되며, 마이코플라즈마의 오염 여부는 luciferase assay를 통해 substrate 첨가 전과 후의 ATP level을 측정함으로써 검출이 가능합니다.
