Human platelet lysate (hPL)는 GMP 인증 기준에 따라 건강한 donor로부터 유래한 인간 혈소판을 사용하여 제조된 GMP-grade cell culture supplement로, 다양한 성장 인자(growth factors)와 사이토카인(cytokines)을 풍부하게 함유하고 있습니다. 제조 과정은 GMP 인증 환경에서 엄격한 생산 관리와 품질 관리 하에 이루어집니다.
hPL은 성장 인자(growth factors), 사이토카인(cytokines), 케모카인(chemokines) 및 다양한 단백질을 풍부하게 포함하고 있어 세포 성장에 필요한 다양한 인자를 제공하며, 이종 유래 성분이 없는(xenogeneic-free) 환경에서 세포가 최적의 상태로 성장할 수 있도록 지원합니다. 또한 일부 경우에는 기존 혈청 보충제(serum supplements)보다 우수한 성능을 보일 수 있습니다.
제조 과정에서는 여러 donor의 platelet unit을 pooling하여 생산함으로써 lot-to-lot variability를 줄이고 제품의 일관성을 높였습니다.
Human platelet에서 유래한 hPL은 Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs)를 비롯한 다양한 인간 세포의 증식(proliferation)과 이동(migration)을 촉진하는 효과적인 supplement입니다. 따라서 serum-free media의 supplement로 사용되거나 fetal bovine serum (FBS) 또는 human AB serum을 대체하는 용도로 널리 사용됩니다.

| Donor Testing | Donors have been tested by FDA-approved methods and found to be negative for HBsAg, HCV (NAT), HCV, HIV-1/2, HIV-1 (NAT), and Syphilis. As testing cannot completely guarantee that the donor was virus-free, this product should be treated as potentially infectious and only used following appropriate handling precautions such as those described in biological safety level 2. |
