Human platelet lysate (HPL)은 건강한 기증자의 인간 혈소판에서 생산된 세포 배양 보조제로, 성장 인자와 사이토카인이 풍부하게 포함되어 있습니다. HPL에는 세포 성장을 촉진하는 성장 인자(Growth Factors), 사이토카인(Cytokines), 케모카인(Chemokines), 그리고 다양한 단백질이 풍부하게 함유되어 있어 세포가 이종 환경에서도 최상의 상태로 자랄 수 있도록 도와줍니다. HPL의 효능은 다른 혈청 첨가제보다 뛰어나며, 제조 과정에서 여러 기증자의 샘플이 혼합(Pooling)되어 로트 간 변동성을 줄였습니다. 인간 혈소판에서 생성된 HPL은 중간엽 줄기 세포와 기타 인간 세포의 증식과 이동을 촉진하는 효과적인 세포 배양 보조제로, Serum Free Medium(무혈청 배지)에서 보조제로 자주 사용되며, FBS(태아 소 혈청) 및 인간 AB 혈청과 같은 혈청의 대체제로도 널리 활용됩니다.
