RapidTaq Hot-Start DNA Polymerase, 400 reactions

RapidTaq Hot-Start DNA Polymerase is a next-generation Taq polymerase with fast extension rates and robust performance. It contains a 5’-3’ exonuclease activity but lacks 3’-5’ exonuclease activity, thus generating PCR products with 3'-A overhangs, ideal for TA cloning. This enzyme contains a proprietary antibody that blocks polymerase activity at low temperatures, thus allowing PCR reaction set-up at room temperature without nonspecific amplification and primer-dimer formation.

At high temperatures, the antibody dissociates from the DNA polymerase, providing high specificity and yields of PCR products. This polymerase displays increased processivity and sensitivity compared to wild-type Taq DNA polymerase, leading to higher product yields in less time.
