LC3 Analogue Dye, is a novel, pH independent, small fluorescent molecule that detects autophagosomes and autolysosomes. The LC3 Analogue Dye incorporates into the autophagosome during double membrane formation, and under hydrophobic conditions will fluoresce. LC3 Analogue Dye is cell permeable, has no requirement of a transfection method, and enables live-cell imaging with fluorescence microscopy and quantitative assay by flow cytometry.
Application Notes
LC3 Analogue Dyes can be used to detect autophagy after cell starvation, during protein and organelle turnover, for neurodegeneration prevention, after tumor suppression treatments, during cellular differentiation, and active immune regulation of innate and adaptive system. LC3 Analogue Dyes can show an increase autophagy after cellular stress, drug treatments, and stimulation from hormone, inflammation, or protein degradation. LC3 Analogue Dyes can denote a decrease in autophagy during certain types of cancers and inflammatory diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, and aging.
