Product Description

Lysing Matrix Y contain 0.5 mm diameter Yttria-Stabilized Zirconium Oxide beads. Y₂O₃ + ZrO₂ has high density and has extremely high hardness making this matrix ideal for cracking of very tough cell walls, while its smooth surface minimizes shearing. Lysing Matrix Y is used primarily for lysis of gram (+/-) bacteria, fungal tissue and spores, yeasts, molds, filamentous algae, and biofilms. Matrix Y tubes have yellow caps.
