Product Description
Product is the lyophilized powder of rabbit antiserum to bovine IgG (whole molecule) and buffer salts. The antiserum is prepared by hyperimmunizing rabbits with highly purified bovine IgG; antiserum is delipidated and made specific by solid-phase absorption.

| Specificity | The total protein is measured using the Biuret procedure; with bovine albumin as a standard. Antibody titer is standardized by equivalence-point precipitation. Each antiserum is tested for specificity at a minimum of 80 mg/ml using immunoelectrophoresis. It shows reactivity to bovine IgG; cross-reactivity to other species may exist. Because the product is directed against whole IgG; some antibodies are expected to bind light chain sites common to all immunoglobulins. Antibody activity to non-immunoglobulin serum proteins is not present. |
