Description

Product Description

Fluorescein-conjugated Goat F(ab')2 fragment to Human IgG is the fluorescein-5-isothiocyanate (FITC "Isomer I")-conjugated goat F(ab')2 fragment to human IgG (whole molecule) and buffer salts.

Application Notes

Fluorescein-conjugated goat F(ab')2 fragment to human IgG is suitable for use as a reagent in immunofluorescence assays (IFA), cell staining (fluorescent microscopy and cell sorting), tissue staining, and blot immunostaining. F(ab')2 fragments are recommended for staining of cells or tissues which contain Fc receptors. (Note: Affinity purified antibodies and their F(ab')2 fragments are recommended to avoid non-specific binding from the inherent antibodies of host animals. The antibody may also be used in FACS-based assays (1:200).

Usage Statement

Research Use Only (RUO). Unless otherwise stated in our catalog or other company documentation accompanying the product(s), our products are intended for research use only and are not to be used for any other purpose, which includes but is not limited to, unauthorized commercial uses, in vitro diagnostic uses, ex vivo or in vivo therapeutic uses or any type of consumption or application to humans or animals.

Key Applications

Immunoassays | Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin; Acetone-Fixed; 4% PFA Frozen) | Immunofluorescence assays (IFA) | Flow Cytometry (FACS)

Analysis Note The total protein is measured using the Biuret procedure with bovine albumin as the standard; F/P ratio is calculated using absorbance at 491.5nm. Antibody titer of the IgG fraction is standardized by equivalence-point precipitation. The F(ab')2 fragments are tested for purity and specificity at a minimum of 20 mg/mL using immunoelectrophoresis. The product is goat F(ab')2; no trace of albumin, whole molecule IgG or Fc is detected.
Antibody Category Polyclonal
Antibody Type Polyclonal Antibody

Purity Purified
Solubility Soluble in Water
Species Reactivity Human; (Whole Molecule)
Specificity This product shows reactivity to human IgG; cross-reactivity to other species may exist. Because the product is directed against whole IgG; some antibodies are expected to bind light chain sites common to all immunoglobulins. Antibody activity to non-immunoglobulin serum proteins is not present.
Storage and Handling Store no longer than 4 weeks at 2-8°C. For long-term storage; aliquot and freeze reconstituted product at -20°C or lower.
