N-Decane
Product Description
N-Decane
Application Notes
Decane is used in Internal standard in the GC analysis of oxalic, malonic, and succinic acids in biological materials. It is most commonly used in paint manufacture as a hydrocarbon solvent, and and Woodstains and Varnishes as a Varnish Solvent. It is also a component of automotive fuels. Decane has been used as a solvent in the preparation of high alkane phase emulsified suspensions (HAPES). It may also be used as a solvent to suspend the CdSe/ZnS nanocrystals during absorbance measurement. Internal standard in the GC analysis of oxalic, malonic, and succinic acids in biological materials.
