Proteins and Derivatives

Zymolyase, 20T from Arthrobacter luteus, 1 g
Used to lyse living yeast cell walls to produce protoplast or spheroplast. Can be used for glucan hydrolysis.

α-Chymotrypsin from bovine pancreas, 3X crystallized, ≥40 U/mg protein
Chymotrypsin is a powerful enzyme that selectively breaks down peptide bonds involving L-isomers of tyrosine, phenylalanine, and tryptophan. It efficiently acts on amides, esters, and bonds containing aromatic amino acids, as well as those containing leucyl, methionyl, asparaginyl, and glutamyl residues. With 241 amino acid residues, chymotrypsin is a protein composed of three peptide chains: an A chain (13 residues), a B chain (131 residues), and a C chain (97 residues).

Collagenase type II, >125 U/mg solid
From Clostridium histolyticum. Protease which cleaves collagen. For use in the preparation of isolated cell suspensions

Lysozyme, ≥9000 Sugar U/mg solid, from chicken eggwhite
Lysozyme

Papain, ≥10 units/mg protein

Streptokinase
Streptokinase catalyzes hydrolysis of amide linkages

Casein hydrolysate enzymatic
Casein hydrolysate enzymatic is a pancreatic hydrolysate of casein. This hydrolysate contains, in the form of mixed amino acids and peptides, all amino acids originally present in casein. It is a refined product providing high quality soluble source of amino acids, polypeptides and peptides.
