    Adult Bovine Serum (ABS) or Bovine Blood Serum is obtained from adult cattle that are older than 12 months. It is used to supplement cell culture media. Adult Bovine Serum and contains more immunoglobulins than fetal bovine serum (FBS) and has an increased protein content. Adult Bovine Serum is a cost-effective alternative to fetal bovine serum. Upon request, this serum product can be offered with treatments such as heat-inactivation or gamma-irradiation.
