Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH) was induced by feeding a methionine/choline-deficient diet (MCD-diet) for up to 5 weeks to mice. NASH is a disease with a high incidence, difficult diagnosis, and as yet no effective treatment. So,MCD-diet is used to study induction of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis in experimental models and its routes of development.
