Soil Preservation Solution (Non-Lytic)

Soil Preservation Solution (Non-Lytic) is specifically formulated to address this pre-analytical challenge. Its non-lytic chemistry rapidly inhibits nucleases activity and cellular metabolism without disrupting cellular integrity, thereby preserving the native ratio of intracellular to extracellular DNA/RNA and halting post-sampling community dynamics. This ensures that the extracted nucleic acids authentically represent the in-situ microbial state at the precise time of collection, minimizing bias introduced by transport or storage delays. 

The Soil Preservation Solution (Non-Lytic) should be removed prior to DNA/RNA extraction. This step eliminates extracellular DNA originating from dead or lysed cells, thereby ensuring that downstream analyses are enriched for nucleic acids derived from viable or dormant cells with intact membranes. This enables more accurate microbiome analysis, which is critical for studies on disturbed, treated, or dynamic soils.  

Soil Preservation Solution (Non-Lytic) enables simultaneous stabilization of bacterial DNA and RNA in soil samples for up to 28 days at 25 °C, and up to 7 days at temperatures above 25 °C and up to 37 °C. It is compatible with most commercial soil nucleic acid purification kits, delivering high-quality, intact total DNA/RNA suitable for a wide range of downstream applications, including RT-PCR and NGS.

The Soil Preservation Solution (Non-Lytic) is an aqueous sample storage reagent designed to stabilize and preserve both DNA and RNA in collected soil samples, enabling simple field collection and ambient-temperature storage and transport when refrigerated storage is not available, prior to downstream nucleic acid extraction and molecular analysis.
