Product Description

The MagBeads FastRNA Kit for FFPE (Ready-to-Use for MPure-96™) is a high-performance RNA extraction kit designed for formaldehyde- or paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues and optimized for use with the MPure-96™ aNAP System. Based on magnetic bead technology, the kit enables convenient and efficient RNA isolation from a wide range of FFPE tissue types. 
RNA obtained from multiple types of tissue using this Kit has shown high integrity and purity and is immediately ready for use in downstream applications, including real-time PCR and next-generation sequencing (NGS). 
The kit incorporates specialized formulations that address the unique challenges of FFPE samples. During formalin fixation, nucleic acids undergo crosslinking with proteins and chemical modifications that lead to fragmentation. The MagBeads FastRNA Kit for FFPE (Ready-to-Use for MPure-96™) is optimized to reverse formaldehyde-induced crosslinking.
Due to fixation and embedding procedures, nucleic acids in FFPE samples are often heavily fragmented and modified by formaldehyde. While the MagBeads FastRNA Kit for FFPE is optimized to minimize the effects of the formaldehyde modification, RNA purified with this kit is not recommended for downstream applications that require full-length RNA.


Performance

MagBeads FastRNA Kit for FFPE (Ready-to-Use for MPure-96™) has been rigorously tested for its performance. RNA was extracted from a variety of FFPE tissues (2 mg) using the MagBeads FastRNA Kit for FFPE (Ready-to-Use for MPure-96™). The resulting RNA demonstrated exceptional purity, with A260/A280 values ranging from 2.0 to 2.2 and A260/A230 ratios exceeding 1.7.
