Mouse anti-epithelial keratin-AE5 monoclonal antibody, 200 µg
SKU: 08691431
Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Epithelial Keratin antibody is specific for the basic 64K keratin which, together with the acidic 55K keratin, has been designated as a marker for "corneal-type differentiation".
Application Notes
Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Epithelial Keratin - AE5 is used in immunoblotting; Indirect Immunofluorescence; Tissue sections. This antibody is specific for the basic 64 kDa (number 3) keratin which, together with the acidic 55 kDa (number 12) keratin, has been designated as a marker for "corneal-type differentiation." It also reacts with lip and snout (cow and rabbit) epithelia. For this antibody, unfixed, frozen sections perform better than formalin-fixed sections.

| Preparation Method | The AE5 monoclonal anti-keratin was prepared against human epidermal keratin by hybridoma technique using P3 x 63 Ag8 myeloma cells. The AE5 was reactive with the 64K keratins in the cornea. |
| Solubility | Soluble in water |
| Typical Working Concentration | The dilutions below are suggested as staring points. The dilution range for western blotting may be as great as 1:1000 - 1:3000. 1:500 (Immunoblot - human epithelial cornea) 1:50 (Immunofluorescence - human epithelial cornea) It is recommended that each lab obtain their own optimum working dilution. |
