NP40 (NONIDET P40) (fr)

Nonidet P-40 is a non-ionic detergent used in the pre-treatment solution of slides prior to in situ hybridization. The detergent helps to reduce background or non-specific binding of a probe by reducing debris. NP40 can also be used in the aqueous post-hybridization washing solution and helps to provide optimum washing conditions.
