The antigen used in the production of this antiserum is synthetic somatostatin bound to bovine thyroglobulin. The antiserum has been raised in New Zealand white rabbits by the repeated injections of the antigen emulsified in Freund's Complete Adjuvant. Serum from the appropriate bleeds was collected and lyophilized. The product is an unfractionated whole serum and contains 0.1% sodium azide

Application Notes

This product is suitable for use as a precipitating antibody. It gives sharp precipitin lines in immunoelectrophoresis and immunodiffusion techniques.
