Product Description

Acridine Orange is a cell-permeable metachromatic fluorescent cationic dye. It is a RNA polymerase inhibitor.

Application Notes

Acridine Orange is used in fluorescence and epiflouresence microscopy. Acridine Orange dye has been used to analyze mitochondria and lysosomal content by flow cytometry, characterize multidrug resistance, and measure changes in mitochondrial mass during apoptosis in rat thymocytes. It has also been found that acridine orange can differentially stain single- and double-stranded nucleic acids.

Usage Statement

Unless specified otherwise, MP Biomedical's products are for research or further manufacturing use only, not for direct human use. For more information, please contact our customer service department.
