Freund's complete adjuvant, 50 mL

This product is made by Freund's technique, in which of heat-killed Mycobacterium butyricum (0.1%) is suspended in a mixture of paraffin oil (85%) and Arlacel A (15%). Freund's Complete Adjuvant has been widely used as a potent adjuvant in immunization protocols and vaccine development.

The Mycobacterium butyricum in Freund's Complete Adjuvant activates immune cells such as macrophages, dendritic cells, and lymphocytes, leading to the production of cytokines and chemokines that promote inflammation and antigen presentation. This activation of the immune system leads to the production of high levels of antibodies against the immunogen.

The oil emulsion in Freund's Complete Adjuvant helps to retain the antigen at the injection site, providing a slow release of the antigen over an extended period, thus facilitating a prolonged and robust immune response.
