Freund's incomplete adjuvant

This product is a mixture of paraffin oil (90%) and Arlacel A (10%). Freund's Incomplete Adjuvant has been widely used as a potent adjuvant in immunization protocols and vaccine development.

Freund's Incomplete Adjuvant forms a stable emulsion with water and the antigen, allowing for slow release of the immunogen at the injection site. The slow release of antigen is thought to contribute to the high and long-lasting antibody response. This sustained exposure to the antigen promotes a robust and persistent immune response, resulting in a higher titer of antibodies against the immunogen.

Freund's Incomplete Adjuvant is commonly used in conjunction with subsequent boosts to enhance antibody titer after the initial immunization with Freund's Complete Adjuvant (SKU: 0864285-CF MP Biomedicals).

Application Notes

Lacks the mycobacteria found in Complete Freund's Adjuvant so it minimizes the side effects. For this reason, Incomplete Freund's Adjuvant is used for the boost injections.
