Monoclonal Anti-Human B-Lymphocyte LN-3

LN-3 is a murine monoclonal antibody (IgG2b) reactive with a nonpolymorphic HLA-DR (Ia-like) antigen. The antigens show the typical 29-33 K dalton molecular weight of Ia. The HLA-DR antigen is present on germinal center and mantle zone B cells, monocytes and macrophages and interdigitating histiocytes. T cells are generally negative although activated T cells may express HLA-DR.

The original antigen was purified calf lens. The antibody reacts specifically to 57 kDa vimentin protein in immunoblotting. Additionally, it reacts specifically with cells of mesenchymal origin including fibroblasts, endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells, chondrocytes, lymphocytes and blood cells. It cross-reacts with vimentin of most mammals including human, mouse, rat and rabbit. It is supplied as clarified cell culture supernatant with 1% BSA and 0.09% sodium azide.
