IGF-I, human, recombinant
The IGFs are mitogenic polypeptide growth factors that stimulate the proliferation and survival of various cell types including muscle, bone, and cartilage tissue in vitro. IGFs are predominantly produced by the liver, although a variety of tissues produce the IGFs at distinctive times. The IGFs belong to the Insulin gene family, which also contains insulin and relaxin. The IGFs are similar by structure and function to insulin, but have a much higher growth-promoting activity than insulin. IGF-II expression is influenced by placenta lactogen, while IGF-I expression is regulated by growth hormone. Both IGF-I and IGF-II signal through the tyrosine kinase type I receptor (IGF-IR), but, IGF-II can also signal through the IGF-II/Mannose-6-phosphate receptor. Mature IGFs are generated by proteolytic processing of inactive precursor proteins, which contain N-terminal and C-terminal propeptide regions. Recombinant human IGF-I and IGF-II are globular proteins containing 70 and 67 amino acids, respectively, and 3 intra-molecular disulfide bonds.
Mouse IgG, lyophilized
IgG antibody subtype is the most abundant serum immunoglobulins of the immune system. It is secreted by B cells and is found in blood and extracellular fluids and provides protection from infections caused by bacteria, fungi and viruses. Maternal IgG is transferred to fetus through the placenta that is vital for immune defence of the neonate against infections. Mouse IgG is purified from normal mouse serum.

These myeloma proteins are purified from ascites by a combination of salt precipitation, ion exchange and bioaffinity chromatography. Purified proteins are dialyzed into 0.02M Tris, 0.14M sodium chloride, pH 8.1. Product is adjusted to 1.0 mg/ml, filtered, vialed, and stored frozen at -70°C. Product is shipped on dry ice.
IgG1 (Kappa), Clone Mopc 21, mouse ascites, 5 mg
Ascites fluid, collected from Balb/c mice which carry plasmacytomas subcutaneously, are clarified by centrifugation and filtration. It is dialyzed, adjusted to yield at least 5 mg of immunoglobulin, then vialed and lyophilized. Clarified ascites are tested for immunoglobulin by immunoelectrophoresis using antisera specific for the particular type and isotype. Approximately 10% of the total protein is immunoglobulin (including trace levels of the host's immunoglobulins), 80% is albumin, and 10% is complement and other proteins.
IgG, rat, 100 mg
Purified rat IgG may be used as a reference antigen, standard, blocking agent, or coating protein in a variety of immunoassays including ELISA, dot immunobinding, western immunoblotting, immunodiffusion, and immunoelectrophoresis. Other applications include starting materials for the preparation of immunogens and solid phase immunoadsorbents. Rat IgG was used as isotype control in flow cytometry and injected into mice to induce tolerance against rat IgG.

Rabbit IgG is purified from pooled rabbit serum using multi-step procedures which may include salt fractionation, gel filtration, ion-exchange chromatography and immunoabsorption. The product is dialyzed into 0.01 M sodium phosphate, 0.07 M sodium chloride, pH 7.3, filtered through a 0.22 µm filter, vialed and lyophilized. No preservative added.
