Key Applications

Extraction of nucleic acids, proteins, metabolites and other small molecules from tough, hard or brittle cell membranes including organisms with a tough or dense exterior matrix. RNA extraction from difficult samples where lysis by impaction is necessary. Isolation of intact bacteria and viruses from infected tissues is preferable with minimal amounts of mechanical shearing.
