Biochemical Physiological Actions Inhibitor of DNA synthesis, nuclear division, and cancer cells. Antibacterial to gram positive, gram negative, acid-fast bacilli. Mitomycin C decomposes DNA in cancer cells by forming a complex with DNA and inhibits division of cancer cells by interfering with the biosynthesis of DNA.
