Application Notes

1,2-Butylene Oxide is a hydrogen chloride acceptor in chlorocarbons, e.g. trichloroethylene. It is also a valuable intermediate in many syntheses, e.g. in the production of butylene glycol, 2-amino-1-butanol, and polyols for polyurethane plastics. Other products obtained from it are nonionic surfactants that are used as textile and dyeing auxiliaries, crude oil deemulsifiers, etc. It is also used as a solvent for natural and synthetic resins and in polymerization
