Applications: Immunoblotting; Immunostaining of cell suspensions, acetone-fixed frozen tissue sections, and formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
The antibody was prepared from human leyomyoma. The antibody is specific to 53 kDa desmin protein in immunoblotting and gives the same cell staining pattern as cat. no. 10570, polyclonal desmin antibody. No cross-reactivity with any other intermediate filament protein. It does cross-react with desmin of most mammals including mouse, rabbit and rat. It is supplied as clarified cell culture supernatant with 0.09% sodium azide.
