The Penetratin-Arg peptide is a transfection reagent derived from the third helix of the homeodomain of the Antennapedia protein (pAntp) from Drosophila melanogaster. Penetratin-Arg is a 16 amino acid cell-penetrating peptide where the lysine residues in Penetratin have been substituted with Arginines.
Application Notes
Penetratin-Arg peptide is a novel tool for peptide and siRNA delivery. It has been successfully used to internalize covalently attached peptides, oligonucleotides, and siRNA. It is sold ready for coupling to peptides or oligonucleotides containing thiol (-SH) functions.
