Description

Product Description

Product is the lyophilized powder of mouse IgG and buffer salts. Mouse IgG is purified from pooled mouse serum using multi-step procedures which may include salt fractionation, gel filtration, ion-exchange chromatography and immunoabsorption. The product is dialyzed into 0.01M sodium phosphate, 0.07M sodium chloride, pH 7.3, filtered through a 0.22 µm filter, vialed and lyophilized.

Application Notes

Purified mouse IgG may be used as a reference antigen, standard, blocking agent, or coating protein in a variety of immunoassays including ELISA, dot immunobinding, Western immunoblotting, immunodiffusion, and immunoelectrophoresis. Other applications include starting materials for the preparation of immunogens and solid phase immunoadsorbents. Mouse IgG was used as standard in ELISA and chromatin immunoprecipitation assay. It was used to coat nano particles in the development of biosensors. It is suitable for use as a positive control in antibody identification screening techniques.
