Description

Product Description

Recombinant Proteinase K from Tritirachium album expressed in Pichia pastoris. Activity ≥ 35 U/mg lyophilizate; Specific activity ≥ 45 U/mg protein; DNA content ≤ 0.1 pg/mg. Proteinase K is a stable and highly reactive serine protease. It is ideal for non-specific digesting of proteins in variety of applications. It is free of exonucleases and endonucleases. Fully active up to 56°C and under denaturing conditions (e.g. in the presence of urea and/or SDS). This recombinant enzyme undergoes extensive purification to yield the highest quality product. An extra purification step results in significantly increased solubility (2.5 fold), increased specific activity, and decreased DNA content.

Application Notes

Specially designed for non-specific digestion of proteins in diagnostics and NGS-grade applications requiring minimised residual DNA content.
