Product Description

Recombinant Proteinase K from Tritirachium album expressed in Pichia pastoris. Activity ≥ 30 U/mg lyophilizate; Specific activity ≥ 40 U/mg protein; DNA content ≤ 10 pg/mg. Proteinase K is a stable and highly reactive serine protease. It is ideal for non-specific digesting of proteins in variety of applications. It is free of exonucleases and endonucleases. Fully active up to 56°C and under denaturing conditions (e.g. in the presence of urea and/or SDS).

Proteinase K is suitable for both protein and nucleic acid isolation.
