Malachite Green Oxalate
Application Notes
Malachite green is use as counterstain against fuchsin which stains gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria reddish colors and safranin which stains nuclei red. Malachite green stain background to the surrounding tissue blue-green. Malachite green is also used as a pH Indicator between pH 0.2 (green) - 1.8 (blue-green). Used as a botanical counterstain.
