Preparation Method | Prepared according to the method of gallop and seifter (1). In the method, fresh calf skin is extracted with 0.5 M NaOAc to remove non-collagen proteins. The soluble collagen is extracted with 0.075 M sodium citrate pH 3.7 and precipitated as fibrils by dialysis against 0.02 M Na2HPO4. |
